Full Form Of NCR

The full form of NCR is “National Capital Region”. NCR is the region which is betting on the capital Delhi and for development which is being developed by connecting it with the capital Delhi.

In NCR region, the districts of Delhi, the adjoining states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan are being included in the NCR region so that the government located in Delhi can impact the development equally.

The major cities in NCR include Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Muzaffarnagar, and Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida & Greater Noida). These cities and newly merged districts together with Delhi have been given a joint name called NCR.

What Else Should I know About NCR?

Currently, the number of districts within NCR border is 23, that might be increased in the future.

The important thing about the NCR is that it includes that part of the country’s population which is financially strong and educated, the estimated number of these citizens is 470 million, due to which they can see a significant contribution in the progress of the country’s central sector.

The area under the NCR is looked after by the National Capital Region Planning Board i.e. National Capital Region Planning Board, which was established in the year 1985.

The task of this board is to determine the boundaries of NCR and at the same time this board makes plans for the development of the region and carries out every responsibility for achieving the targets fixed for the development.

Need Of Developing The NCR

Now the question arises that Delhi’s development was impacting itself on the surrounding areas, so why the need to create NCR?

The answer is, to emphasize balanced development rather than chaotic development. Because, if the affected areas of Delhi caught the pace of development without planning, then this development could start in a particular direction.

The disadvantage of this would be that if development progressed towards the northern areas then backwardness would be seen in the southern areas and if it moved towards the southern regions, backwardness would be widely affected in the northern areas.

That is why NCR has been constructed with the objective of making Delhi as a center, to have an equal development dynamic in each region and to gradually make the whole country develop.

This is the reason why the NCR board has been entrusted with the responsibility to speed up equal development at every level and in every sector.
